Silver Falls School District has scheduled an open house and tours of the Schlador St. school and Eugene Field School on Saturday, May 4, between 10:00 a.m. and noon.  Changes are slated for each school if the May 21 bond is approved by voters.  This is an opportunity for members of the public to view the inside of each building.  Also, members of the public can request a visit and tour of any school in the district prior to the election by contacting the respective school principal.  Questions about any of this information can be directed to Andy Bellando, Superintendent at 503-873-5303.

Kjersti McAllister is in 5^th grade at Butte Creek School. 
She won first place in the district spelling contest for Division 1 (grades 3-5).

Steven Bates won first place in the district spelling contest for Division 2(grades 6-8). 
Steven attends Bethany Charter School in the sixth grade.

The Silver Falls School Board took action on February 11, 2013 to place a capital construction and maintenance bond on the May 21, 2013 election ballot.  The maximum bond amount will be $36.9 million and will be used for completion of these three projects:

1) Conversion of the Schlador Street campus to a school for town students in self-contained grades 5-6 and departmentalized grades 7-8.

2) Completion of deferred maintenance and facility upgrade projects at each school in the district.  These include safety and security projects along with technology infrastructure upgrades.
