High School Construction
Phase two of the the new 1,400 student Silverton High School is scheduled to be open and ready for students for the start of the 2009-10 school year. Approximately 135,000 square feet are being added to the current 98,000 square feet "starter" high school. Phase one was completed in 1998. In addition, the 30,000 sq feet Career and Technical Education building is currently under construction. This building will be located on the north side of the new high school.
The Silver Falls SD Board appointed a local citizens committee to provide guidance and direction for the construction project. The committee is the Bond Advisory Committee (BAC). For more information about this committee please click on on Board above upper left; then Committees and Bond.
