Goals: 2009-2010
Goal 1
Identify students performing below standards or grade level on the Oregon State Assessment Test or another reliable test of academic achievement. Develop an appropriate intervention strategy involving, in part, increased instructional time for each of the students identified above. Measure academic growth for each student.
Goal 2
Increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards in math by 5% in Spring 2010 for all students (including all subgroups) in grades 3-8 and 10 as measured by Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS).
Goal 3
Increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards in reading by 5% in Spring 2010 for all students (including all subgroups) in grades 3-8 and 10 as measured by Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS).
Goal 4
Use the early releases for primary purpose of improving student achievement through staff collaboration in data analysis, sharing of instructional strategies and developing appropriate interventions for students. Survey teachers and collect qualitative data from principals at end of 2009-10 school year.
Goal 5
Develop attendance boundaries for Scotts Mills Elementary and Butte Creek Elementary incorporating Monitor Elementary attendance zone.
Goal 6
Investigate and develop alternatives for use and/or disposal of Monitor Elementary and former Silverton High School.
